Internal Food Safety Auditor is a course that covers the fundamentals of an internal auditor program: quality auditing principles, establishment of food safety and quality criteria, and development and implementation of an effective program. Internal audits are a requirement of all food safety certification standards, such SQF, BRCGS and FSSC 22000. Internal Food Safety Auditor is based on the principles of ISO 19011.

The course is taught in a virtual classroom over two days, with opportunities for interaction with the instructor. The enrollment will be limited in number to allow for student learning.

Internal Food Safety Auditor is a course that covers the fundamentals of an internal auditor program: quality auditing principles, establishment of food safety and quality criteria, and development and implementation of an effective program. Internal audits are a requirement of all food safety certification standards, such SQF, BRCGS and FSSC 22000. Internal Food Safety Auditor is based on the principles of ISO 19011. The course will meet the internal auditor training requirement of a GFSI-bench marketed standard, such as SQF, BRCGS and FSSC 22000. The topics will support businesses that want to improve or initiate their facility’s internal audit program.

Intended Audience:

The course is designed for food industry staff such as internal food safety auditors, second party auditors, quality control/assurance personnel, production management, supervisors and consultants.

With an MBA from Loyola University Maryland and a BS in Environmental Studies from Towson University in Maryland, Christina has over 40 years experience in the Manufacturing, Quality and Food Safety Arenas.

Christina utilizes her extensive experience and skills to assist facilities in developing and strengthening their food safety and food quality systems with a focus on team involvement. Teaching and continuous improvement are passions of Christina.
